📝 Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Active Directory Migration Consultant to lead and support domain consolidation and migration efforts across complex enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AD architecture, cross-forest migrations, and hybrid identity integrations.
🔧 Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and execute migrations from legacy AD domains to target forests/domains
- Analyze trusts, replication, and DNS configurations prior to migration
- Use tools like ADMT, PowerShell, and Quest Migration Manager for migrations
- Coordinate with stakeholders, application owners, and business units
- Remediate SID history, GPOs, profiles, and ACLs during migration
- Assist with Azure AD/Entra ID hybrid migration and synchronization
- Ensure post-migration validation, group membership mapping, and login testing
- Document runbooks, rollback plans, and status reports for leadership
✅ Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in Active Directory design, administration, and migrations
- Expertise with ADMT, PowerShell, and 3rd-party migration tools
- Experience with cross-forest/domain trust setup and teardown
- Knowledge of Group Policy, DNS, DFS, and roaming profiles
- Strong understanding of SID history, ACLs, and permission cleanup
- Familiarity with Azure AD Connect and hybrid identity design
- Experience with enterprise-level consolidation projects
- Skilled in troubleshooting Kerberos, LDAP, and replication issues
- Clear communication skills with ability to lead stakeholder calls
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, AD-related MCPs) preferred
